AuthWisp
A native macOS companion for fresh login codes and magic links, with deliberate actions and conservative detection.

macOS interface · identities masked
Problem & context
Moving between mailboxes to find login codes interrupts sign-in. Old codes and unrelated messages should not become prominent authentication signals.
My contribution
Built a compact SwiftUI menu-bar utility with fresh code and magic-link detection, masked signals, explicit copy/open/discard actions and a separate native account-management window.
Decisions & tradeoffs
Prefer a missed ambiguous message to an unrelated authentication alert.
Require authentication context, reject commerce and logistics messages, and expire candidates within a configurable freshness window.
Keep background retrieval bounded and account recovery deliberate.
Limit concurrent account retrieval, cache credential failures during polling, and expose explicit recovery rather than repeatedly triggering credential prompts.
Outcome
Implemented a focused native workflow for fresh authentication signals, deliberate actions and account-specific health. The product presentation uses captures of the actual macOS interface, with mailbox identities redacted.
